Upfront seat to the action -Very Limited Number of Tickets
Unique opportunity to be next to race course with live narration
Sail Newport has made available a limited amount of tickets onboard a spectator boat at cost. We have been invited to join guests from New York Yacht Club and Courageous Sailing Center for an upfront seat to watch the Volvo Ocean Race in-port racing. The Volvo boats will race two-mile windward-leeward courses. A mid-course gate will gather the boats closer for spectators. Each race will take about 50 minutes for a total racing time of two hours. The spectator boat will leave the dock at 12 Noon sharp!

SCHEDULE:
10am – 11:30am Mix & Mingle at Volvo Race Village at Fan Pier
11:30pm Board Catamaran FREEDOM at Rowes Wharf (10-minute walk from Race Village)
12:00pm FREEDOM Departs from Rowes Wharf
1pm Volvo In-Port Race Starts
4:30pm FREEDOM Returns to Rowes Wharf
5pm Return to Dock and Enjoy Volvo Race Village
REFRESHMENTS: Beer, Wine and Soft Drinks will be for sale aboard FREEDOM, and snacks will be served. It is ok to bring your own food and snacks.
NARRATION: There will be LIVE race commentary as the boats navigate the race course
WEATHER: Please dress in layers for for cool breeze (clothing), bright sun (sunscreen), precipitation (PUMA raingear),
BRING: Your loudest voice to cheer our team!
COST/TICKETS: $40 for adults, and $20 for under 18. NO TICKETS WILL BE MAILED, A GUEST LIST WILL BE AT BOAT.
