2012 Regatta Schedule
The following schedule of regattas for each of the teams represents a list of events at which there is a plan to provide coaching, assuming there is sufficient interest from participating sailors. As a rule of thumb, at least 3 sailors/boats must be planning to participate before a BCRP coach will attend.
Not all sailors on a given team (Opti, Laser or C420) will sail every event--in some cases there is overlap amongst events--in others issues of available time, resources or other obligations will be a factor. Sailors are encouraged to work with their coaches and the program directors to determine what regattas will provide them with the best opportunities for competitive sailing based on their goals, expectations and skills.
At a minimum, participants in BCRP are expected to participate in the NBYA events and Jr. Race Week. First year racers will be encouraged to sail at least one regional event, while it is expected that returning and experienced racers will typically focus on regional and national events.
