Sail Newport is proud to announce a keelboat match racing seminar in partnership with North U. Join us for two full days of practical match race instruction including a Friday evening introduction, daily video debriefs and informal racing with active coaching.
The seminar is designed to introduce racing sailors to the discipline of match racing and for those familiar to have an opportunity to hone their skills, the North U clinic and mini-regatta format is proven to be successful and valuable for all who attend. The clinic is open to men and women and available for individuals or teams.
This will be a non-spinnaker clinic.

FRIDAY, APRIL 27
1800 - 1900 Check in
1900 - 2130 Classroom session- intro. to match racing, pre-start tactics, intro to drills
SATURDAY, APRIL 28
0900 - 1000 Classroom session- drill run through, Museum of Yachting
1030 - 1230 Morning sailing- starting drills, Sail Newport Dock Office
1300 - 1400 Lunch ashore- afternoon briefing
1430 - 1700 Afternoon sailing- drills and racing
1730 - 1900 Refreshments and debrief
1900 - 2100 Classroom session- match race penalty system
SUNDAY, APRIL 29
0900 - 1000 Classroom session- drill and racing run through
1030 - 1500 Racing
1500 - 1630 Shore side debrief
